5 Best Motivational Books

“Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or self-confidence.” ―Robert Frost

5 best motivational books Pinterest

I am constantly investing in myself to learn more and pushing myself to work smarter. For this reason, I love motivational books (when I’m not reading love stories of course). With the amount of travel and drive time I’ve acquired in the last few years, I’ve picked up more and more books to help me stay on track. I want to share 5 books I could read over and over again. These books kick me out of a funk and keep me highly motivated –

The Morning Miracle – Hal Elrod

I recommend The Miracle Morning to anyone and everyone. I was randomly handed this book years and years ago and it’s such a short read I decided to open it up. To this day, it is still one of my favorite books, if not my favorite. You can actually trick your mind into being a morning person and to have more energy and control of your thoughts while doing it. For anyone that needs a boost, or just feels like they could accomplish more if they just had more time (everyone) then this is your book.

You Are A Badass – Jen Sincero

You are a Badass is not one of your typical self-help motivational books. Jen Sincero has so much personality and is a hilarious writer and personal coach. Her main focus is to get you out of your own head and to stop doubting that you, well….are a badass! It’s also very relevant to the time that we’re in now making references to technology and the social media we’re using today. Most of the books that I’m recommending are timeless but written years ago. (I’m also obsessed with “You are a Badass at Making Money” by Jen Sincero but I’ll save that book for another post 😉 )

The 5 Second Rule – Mel Robbins

The 5 Second Rule is truly a life-changing motivational book. Mel Robbins is so real and vulnerable in this book. She shares her own experience of why she created this rule and how it changed her life. Her life quickly flipped upside down to the point she couldn’t get herself out of bed in the morning. The 5 Second Rule is so simple it seems too ridiculous to work but that is just the thing, it IS so simple. This is why it makes the list of the best motivational books because you CAN change your life and your train of thought in just 5 seconds.

Total Money Makeover – Dave Ramsey

Total Money Makeover always gives me a good reset when I feel like I need one. Dave Ramsey walks you through the baby steps he created to get out of debt – however, I don’t read it to get out of debt. When I read this book or listen to his podcasts, I feel inspired to work harder to get myself to the next step of how to make more money. Although I don’t agree with every opinion he has, Dave shares great basic principles of how to save/spend/give your money. If you do have debt, then this is an absolute MUST. If you don’t have any debt, read it anyway.

Measure What Matters – John Doerr

John Doerr shares how he has helped companies like Amazon, Google, Intel, and more achieve substantial growth by creating an OKR model for their teams. This Objective and Key Results goal setting technique is something I’ve learned from this book and do in my daily practice. I can tell you first hand, what he teaches does work. This is definitely worth the read regardless of what goal you are trying to achieve.

I’m adding Miracle Morning to my reading list! It’s been extra hard to be motivated in the morning without my regular commute and routine.

I really loved the book The Defining Decade about how to make the most of your 20s. It helped me think about how to set myself up for success.

A fascinating discussion is definitely worth comment. I do think that you ought to publish more about this topic, it may not be a taboo subject but typically people dont speak about such issues. To the next! Many thanks!!
